Everyday sci-fi

Everybody knows that saving the universe only takes about an hour and a half, so what goes on the rest of the time? Well, all those eloborate, other-worldly outfits don’t just wash themselves thats for sure. Even galactic princesses have chores to do..
Actually, I suppose there’s a possibility they have minions for that kind of thing, but you never know.. Anyway, this is the fantabulous Ella De Vine in housework mode (not her real hair.. just sayin’).

My painting from last year “Alien TV” is still a firm favourite of mine, so I’d been looking for another chance at using a similar limited palette as I think it works so nicely. Luckily I still have a few ideas for sci-fi themed pin-ups laying around so was able to make this number two in the series (hopefully there will be some more at some point!). The pose was a bit tricky and I’ve ended up with a slighlty uncomfortable negative space in the top right corner but otherwise it works.

I tried to give my little laundry robot a surprised expression, I’m too close to it to be able to tell if it succeeds or not so if you’re reading this do let me know what you think!
